Senior Associate, New Verticals - Grocery Merchant & Operations at DoorDash

Key Responsibilities

• Develop optimal strategies for serving customers from first principles
• Own tracking dashboards and manage week-over-week metrics to drive high-quality operations
• Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate economic, operational, and strategic costs and benefits of programs and experiments
• Transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes
• Launch new products, improve daily, and scale new initiatives from high-level strategy to operational details
• Partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships, and product to build and scale the Grocery business

Required Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of experience in highly analytical and cross-functional cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related)
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree
• Comfortable exercising discretion and independent judgment in job duties

Key Skills

• Analytical skills (data-driven decision making, SQL for data pulling, Excel for modeling)
• Problem-solving from first principles (synthesizing complex problems, translating goals into actionable plans, implementing processes)
• Ownership and entrepreneurial mindset (bias for action, building from ground up, owning outcomes)
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change in startup environments
• Ability to operate at strategic (10,000 feet) and tactical (1 foot) levels
• Cross-functional collaboration and influence

Salary Range

$78,200 - $1,15,000 USD annually
