About the role


The Impairment Benefits Specialist is to manage the end-to-end impairment determination process for injured workers in accordance with legislative requirements. 

Key Skills Required:

  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Strong analytical and reasoning ability.

  • Negotiation & Influencing: Ability to negotiate effectively.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills.

  • Work Management: Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Customer Service: Focus on serving injured workers and stakeholders.

Required Expertise:

  • Completion of AMA4 training by Work Safe Victoria.

  • Minimum 2 years’ claims management experience (or equivalent).

  • Experience working with the legal profession.

  • Extensive knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology and procedures, including treatments.

  • Experience managing hearing device claims.
