We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for managing complex medical entitlement reviews, under the legislative frameworks.
 

About the Role

As the Team Manager – MLER, you will be responsible for leading a specialised team focused on Medical and Like Entitlement Reviews within the Workers Compensation scheme. You will drive performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support your team to deliver quality outcomes for injured workers in line with scheme objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of MLER specialists to deliver high-quality, timely entitlement reviews

  • Oversee complex case decisions relating to medical and like entitlements

  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, clinical evidence, and scheme frameworks

  • Monitor team performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and manage KPI achievement

  • Provide coaching, conduct regular performance reviews, and manage underperformance where required

  • Drive employee engagement and foster a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, medical advisors, and external providers to ensure optimal outcomes
     

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in Workers Compensation with specific exposure to Medical and Like Entitlement Reviews

  • Strong understanding of treatment guidelines, compensable services, and legislative frameworks

  • Proven leadership experience with demonstrated capability in people management and performance management

  • Ability to interpret clinical information and apply it to entitlement decision-making

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • A passion for leading teams to deliver exceptional service and outcomes
