As an EMEA Field Service Engineer, you'll be the trusted face of Eaton, leading hands-on installation projects for medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) switchgear in high-stakes environments such as data centers, utilities, and oil & gas facilities. Expect a dynamic schedule of one week traveling to customer sites across EMEA (ideally located near a major airport in UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, or Romania) and one week working remotely on administrative tasks. You'll lead commissioning, testing, and fault-finding, oversee third-party providers, mentor fellow engineers, and ensure our equipment delivers reliable, sustainable power management solutions that align with Eaton's ethical business practices and environmental commitments. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead installation, commissioning, testing, and fault-finding of Eaton MV and HV equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on power distribution systems
  • Act as primary customer contact during project execution, ensuring high satisfaction
  • Oversee and coordinate third-party service providers on-site
  • Mentor and support junior service engineers, promoting safety and best practices
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet delivery timelines and quality standards
  • Conduct protection relay programming and system diagnostics
  • Respond rapidly to customer breakdowns and drive resolution
  • Document service activities, generate reports, and update Eaton's lifecycle management systems
  • Ensure compliance with Eaton's safety protocols and sustainability standards
  • Contribute to technical innovation initiatives for power management solutions
  • Travel across EMEA (1 week on-site, 1 week remote administrative work)

Required Qualifications

  • Higher Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) power distribution systems
  • Certification in electrical safety and high-voltage operations
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively across EMEA
  • Proficiency in protection relay programming and testing
  • Strong understanding of Eaton's power management technologies
  • Eligibility to work in EMEA countries including UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, and Romania

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Eaton MV switchgear installation and commissioning
  • HV authorization and competency certification
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 or PMP)
  • Knowledge of data center power infrastructure
  • Fluency in English and additional European languages
  • Previous leadership experience in field service teams
