Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team of ~110 engineers to ensure current product support, future product development, and sustaining/field support for aerospace customers
  • Drive high-quality technical output on time, providing technical guidance, fostering growth, accountability, and employee satisfaction
  • Develop organizational capabilities and engineering skills to support product teams, division strategies, and Eaton’s power management initiatives
  • Implement Model-Based Systems Engineering, Model-Based Definition (MBD), and Build-to-Print (BTP) to enhance engineering efficiency
  • Establish global engineering standards, design documentation, and competitive product designs leveraging additive manufacturing
  • Develop and execute global engineering strategy, including growth of the Pune, India engineering center and Centers of Excellence
  • Promote robust design, 'analysis first' mindset, and risk management using leading indicators and metrics
  • Forecast aircraft system trends, identify opportunities/threats, and collaborate with customers on new requirements
  • Maintain liaisons with Operational Excellence for cost reductions, customers for product reviews, and universities for innovation
  • Ensure proprietary rights, product liability, and ethical business practices in alignment with Eaton’s sustainability goals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in a manufacturing or new product development environment
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in new product development
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a leader of people
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in conducting competitive analyses and defining/executing business level strategy
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in creating an engineering culture of continuous process, reliability, and quality improvement that drives customer satisfaction
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
