About the Role

As an Agentic Analytics Manager at eBay in Bengaluru, you'll spearhead the development of next-generation AI-first analytics tools tailored for eBay's global e-commerce marketplace. Empowering millions of buyers and sellers across 190+ markets, you'll create intuitive React-based dashboards and FastAPI endpoints that deliver instant, interpretable insights into marketplace trends, buyer behavior, and economic opportunities. By integrating agentic AI pipelines with LLM technologies like RAG and prompt engineering, you'll transform complex natural language queries into visualized, evidence-based answers, bridging UX, data science, and decision-making to reinvent how eBay stakeholders shop, sell, and strategize.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive React interfaces for exploring eBay marketplace data, comparing metrics, and visualizing trends/causal drivers
• Integrate AI-assisted analysis by connecting front-end workflows to agentic pipelines for querying and explaining e-commerce insights
• Develop FastAPI endpoints that deliver summaries, charts, and AI-powered diagnostics for eBay decision-making
• Evaluate analytical quality by defining success metrics like relevance and latency for model-driven marketplace insights
• Ensure interpretability by surfacing queries, data sources, and assumptions behind eBay analytics results
• Collaborate with data science, PMs, and analytics teams to define metrics and iterate based on eBay user feedback
• Maintain code excellence through tests, performance monitoring, and releases improving speed and analytical correctness
• Bridge UX, data, and AI to transform human questions into data-grounded answers for eBay's global buyers and sellers
• Partner across teams to shape evaluation frameworks for AI-first analytics in e-commerce
• Drive evidence-based decision-making by reducing time-to-insight for eBay stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Experience building self-serve analytics or decision intelligence platforms for e-commerce data insights
• Proficiency in React for developing interactive data visualization dashboards in a marketplace analytics context
• Hands-on experience with analytical APIs such as FastAPI, including data validation and async retrieval for real-time eBay metrics
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills for computing e-commerce metrics like time series analysis of buyer/seller trends
• Expertise in LLM/agent analytics including prompt design, RAG, evaluation, and grounding for AI-first eBay analytics
• Proven ability in data storytelling and visualization fundamentals to communicate marketplace insights clearly
• Experience measuring insight quality through evals, A/B tests, or golden datasets in high-scale e-commerce environments
• Excellent communication skills to explain analytical logic, trade-offs, and eBay-specific findings to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with databases, semantic layers, or retrieval systems optimized for eBay's global marketplace data
• Background in UX design for data visualization or analytical workflows in e-commerce platforms
• Experience with experiment frameworks, metrics stores, or statistical testing for A/B experiments on eBay listings
• Knowledge of software deployment practices like Kubernetes for scalable analytics tools
• Prior work in e-commerce analytics focusing on buyer-seller dynamics and economic opportunity metrics
• Understanding of eBay's data ecosystem for reinventing ecommerce through AI-driven insights
