Own end-to-end data product development, from designing scalable pipelines and ML models for seller churn prediction and buyer segmentation to deploying AI-powered dashboards that empower global product teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data products and tools for eBay's global ecommerce platform to enable faster business decisions
  • Build data pipelines, modeling layers, and intuitive dashboards for marketplace analytics
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques like seller churn prediction, propensity modeling, segmentation, and targeting
  • Leverage emerging AI technologies such as agentic AI systems to automate insights generation in ecommerce workflows
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable insights for senior executives and product leaders at eBay
  • Create compelling narratives that influence eBay's business strategy in buyer-seller dynamics
  • Partner with global analytics, product, and business teams across US and EU markets
  • Define success metrics, measure performance, and prioritize high-impact initiatives for marketplace growth
  • Manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication of progress and tradeoffs
  • Own end-to-end problem-solving from business challenges to scalable data products in a fast-paced ecommerce environment

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in data science, analytics, or data product roles
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau or other visualization tools
  • Proven experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data-driven experimentation
  • Strong background in handling large, complex datasets and building scalable data pipelines
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking skills — able to break down ambiguity into structured frameworks
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills — ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear and compelling narratives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/LLM-based analytics or automation solutions
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tools (e.g., Snowflake, Airflow, dbt)
  • Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplace, or retail analytics domains
