About the Role

Join eBay's Cloud team as a Cloud Support Engineer in Bengaluru, powering the foundational infrastructure for thousands of applications on one of the industry's largest private clouds. This role focuses on enabling developers to adopt cloud-native practices on eBay's platform, which supports millions of buyers and sellers across 190+ markets. You'll provide expert support, triage complex issues, and leverage GenAI for automation to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure operations for eBay's global ecommerce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Enable eBay native cloud adoption by providing expert support, solutions, and best practices to developers
• Work collaboratively with cloud engineers to triage and resolve complex system issues impacting eBay's platform
• Translate user feedback and requirements from eBay developers into actionable improvements for the cloud platform
• Utilize GenAI to develop tools and automation for efficient cloud administration supporting eBay's ecommerce infrastructure
• Champion DevOps culture and principles, prioritizing automation for high reliability and efficiency
• Drive adoption of cloud-native principles to improve developer productivity on eBay's private cloud
• Ensure applications running on eBay's platform are reliable, efficient, scalable, and secure
• Provide end-to-end governance and support for the full lifecycle of eBay applications
• Focus on enhancing cloud-native capabilities for thousands of eBay applications across 190+ markets
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in distributed systems powering eBay's global marketplace

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, schedulers, operating systems, and Kubernetes
• Proficient in programming with Go, Python, or other relevant languages
• Demonstrated experience in building automation tools and solutions using GenAI
• Expert in troubleshooting and quickly debugging complex issues in distributed systems
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently in a high-pressure environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with focus on DevOps culture

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting e-commerce platforms at global scale
• Hands-on experience with hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of compute instances
• Background in private cloud operations using open-source technology
• Prior work in CI/CD automation for developer productivity in marketplace environments
• Familiarity with security compliance in cloud-native eBay applications
