Key Responsibilities

  • Build solutions using strong background in distributed systems and large-scale database systems for eBay's risk products
  • Develop excellent user experiences for eBay buyers and sellers in risk management interfaces
  • Research, analyze, design, develop, and test solutions aligned with eBay's ecommerce business and technology strategies
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings within the Risk Engineering team
  • Collaborate with Architecture, Product Management, and Operations teams to deliver innovative risk solutions
  • Ensure solutions meet functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability needs for eBay's global marketplace
  • Develop technical and domain expertise to solve complex product challenges in ecommerce risk
  • Adhere to realistic implementation schedules and alignment with eBay's development principles and product goals

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a software engineer
  • Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, XML, Web technologies, Web Services
  • Solid foundation in computer science with strong proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience in Oracle/NoSQL DBs, REST, Event Source, Web Socket
  • Proficient in agile development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and contribute to technology direction for measurable improvements

Preferred Qualifications
