About the Role

eBay is seeking a Group Product Manager - Product Knowledge to lead the development of the most intelligent and scalable product knowledge system in eCommerce, powered by AI, structured data, and advanced taxonomy/ontology strategies. In this high-impact role based in Bengaluru, India, you will own the strategy and execution for an AI-driven ecosystem that enhances product discovery, search relevance, recommendations, and personalization for millions of buyers and sellers across 190+ global markets. Thriving at the intersection of structured data, machine learning, and search optimization, you'll collaborate deeply with AI, data science, engineering, and product teams to build next-gen solutions like ML-driven classification, knowledge graphs, and LLM-powered tagging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for taxonomy, ontology, structured data, and knowledge graph initiatives aligned with AI/ML and Product teams
  • Partner with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to build, test, and scale ML-driven classification, entity resolution, and knowledge graph models
  • Ensure structured product data enhances search relevance, filtering, and recommendation algorithms on eBay's marketplace
  • Lead governance for taxonomy updates, structured metadata, and attribute standardization for a scalable catalog
  • Develop LLM-powered solutions with AI teams for automated tagging, classification, and data enrichment
  • Define key metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure impact on search, recommendations, and personalization
  • Deeply integrate with AI/ML, data science, and engineering teams to deliver scalable product classification solutions
  • Drive strategy and execution for AI-powered product knowledge ecosystem serving millions of eBay buyers and sellers

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management, ideally in eCommerce, search, recommendations, or AI-driven product knowledge systems
  • Strong understanding of product classification, metadata structuring, and entity resolution techniques
  • Experience working with ML models, knowledge graphs, LLMs, and structured data strategies to drive business outcomes
  • Experience optimizing product search, recommendations, and structured navigation in eCommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with SQL, APIs, data pipelines, and AI/ML workflows
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment and influence without authority
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data-driven insights into product strategies
