You will foster engineering excellence, integrate teams for seamless deployments, and collaborate with Core Tech, SRE, and other domains to innovate on one of the world's most trafficked ecommerce platforms, enhancing customer experiences in buying, selling, and charitable giving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a full-stack engineering team delivering strategic roadmap for My eBay and Charity domains
  • Provide tailored mentorship and guidance to team members for individual development
  • Establish collaborative, inclusive teams delivering high-quality software
  • Take ownership of team deliverables ensuring reliable, high-maintenance software
  • Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog aligned with team goals for maximum impact
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers and business units to innovate products
  • Set strategic vision focusing on high-impact technical investments and reducing technical debt
  • Enhance delivery speed, streamline deployments, and decrease engineering friction

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of work experience in software development
  • 5+ years of team management experience leading developers
  • Proven experience in high-velocity engineering environments
  • Expertise in building large-scale distributed systems with high availability, scalability, and resilience
  • Experience working in Agile teams with ability to adapt to changes
  • Strong communication skills to articulate thoughts and proposals clearly
  • Ability to participate in code reviews and drive technical design discussions based on KPIs
