About the Role

eBay is seeking a passionate Product Manager - Tech for its Shipping team in Bengaluru, India, focused on elevating buyer experiences within the global e-commerce marketplace. This role centers on collaborating with partner product organizations to deliver seamless features on the item details page, leveraging business analytics and user research to inform innovations that empower millions of buyers and sellers across 190+ markets. The Product Manager will translate strategic visions into actionable roadmaps, detailed specifications, and cross-functional executions, ensuring scalability for web, mobile, and global sites while driving economic opportunity through authentic, enthusiast-driven commerce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as primary liaison between partner Product Managers for fluid planning, design, and development of item details page features
  • Plan roadmaps according to strong product visions, bounded by finite engineering resources
  • Define product requirements including writing clear, detailed specifications for complex eBay marketplace features
  • Analyze user behavior data, UX research, and marketing insights to drive new features and improvements on item details page
  • Collaborate with Design team to ensure UI leverages eBay standards and fits global item details page vision
  • Work with Product Development to ensure technical extensibility and scalability for e-commerce applications
  • Partner with Quality Engineering to verify final delivery meets product requirements
  • Solicit feedback and communicate product benefits and changes to eBay's global user community
  • Ensure product vision and requirements support global eBay sites, mobile apps, and single global marketplace goals
  • Translate eBay product strategy into detailed specs, make UI/functional tradeoffs, and own post-launch success
  • Gather insights for item details page features using business analytics and user research
  • Build close relationships with cross-functional teams including engineering, analytics, marketing, and research

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management or related experience
  • Strong understanding of user interaction, design, and research
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources
  • Demonstrated experience in writing unambiguous and clear technical specifications
  • Experience working closely with internal partners on product planning, design, and development
  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects through product life cycle from concept to delivery while meeting schedules and budget
  • MS Master's Degree
  • Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
