Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep SQL and Python analyses to identify opportunities in eBay's product taxonomy, ontology, and catalog data
• Optimize structured data for enhancements in search, recommendations, and AI-driven discovery experiences
• Apply prompt engineering with LLMs to develop AI solutions for taxonomy validation and data enrichment
• Create evaluation frameworks for product knowledge models, embeddings, and semantic search systems
• Drive data-driven insights and strategies for catalog optimization and knowledge graph development
• Collaborate with AI/ML, Product, and Engineering teams to refine classification and recommendation models
• Prototype and experiment rapidly to test hypotheses on structured data and AI discovery improvements
• Integrate analytical findings to influence eBay's next-gen e-commerce product discovery features
• Analyze e-commerce marketplace data to improve entity resolution and buyer-seller experiences
• Develop storytelling narratives from complex analyses to guide cross-team decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Proficiency in SQL for complex data analysis and wrangling large-scale product datasets
• Strong Python programming skills for data processing, automation, and analytics pipelines
• Experience with product taxonomy, ontology, and structured data optimization for search and discovery
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, product-focused environments with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of data-driven storytelling to influence product and engineering decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for AI-powered insights
• Background in e-commerce search, recommendations, and knowledge graph applications
