Key Responsibilities

• Apply strong analytical and statistical skills to solve complex and unstructured business problems in eBay's Focus Category with data-supported solutions
• Drive product decisions for eBay's marketplace using A/B testing techniques and experimental design
• Lead innovation and continuous improvement within the Focus Category Analytics team
• Develop scalable data products to enable faster and more accurate decision-making for category initiatives
• Leverage advanced analytics tools and data science models to solve eBay category-level challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, Product Management, Engineering, and Finance to prioritize and resolve key business challenges
• Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to senior leaders, translating complex analytical insights into actionable business recommendations for eBay's e-commerce platform
• Create tools, dashboards, and reports to monitor and ensure success of eBay's category programs
• Partner closely with product and business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making
• Use analytics to drive innovation in eBay's global marketplace serving 190+ markets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL
• Proficiency in Excel
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Ability to attend late evening meetings with U.S. or Europe-based teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or MBA
• Background in product analytics with hands-on experience in A/B test design and measurement
• Proven track record of building predictive models
• Experience solving optimization or elasticity problems
• Experience driving significant business impact through analytics
• Experience in e-commerce or marketplace analytics
