Key Responsibilities

• Develop modular and loosely coupled features for eBay's Android shipping products
• Translate product and design documents into clean, high-quality, crash-free, well-tested production code autonomously
• Write unit tests and automation code for all shipped features
• Conduct code reviews for immediate team
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support software applications
• Propose and evaluate multiple design options, providing estimates for each
• Structure and complete tasks independently, meeting deadlines and milestones
• Effectively communicate assumptions and seek clarification from stakeholders
• Support eBay's global community of buyers and sellers in 190+ markets
• Build features enhancing shipping experiences for individual sellers and small businesses

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years professional experience in Android mobile development
• Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or other related field
• Proficient in Java & Kotlin with expertise in Jetpack Compose
• Understanding of advanced Kotlin language features, coroutines, lambdas
• Experience implementing modern platform design patterns
• Understanding of testing Android applications using platform tools
• Experience with production monitoring
• Proficiency with memory management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dependency management tools in Android, Artifactory, Gradle
• Understanding of system design for large scale consumer mobile applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Excitement about new and innovative technologies like Generative AI
• Experience in e-commerce or marketplace mobile applications
