About the Role

Join eBay's Infrastructure Engineering team in Bengaluru as a Senior Platform Engineer on the Frameworks team, powering the Java frameworks that handle all site-facing REST, GraphQL, and Batch traffic for eBay's global e-commerce platform. Serving millions of buyers and sellers across 190 markets, you'll work on Raptor.io, eBay's Spring Boot-based developer platform, acting as a key enabler for fellow eBay engineers building the future of online marketplaces. Your role focuses on platform development, CI/CD automation with Jenkins and Tekton, Docker containerization, and secure infrastructure management to ensure robust performance at eBay's massive scale. Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve eBay's Spring Boot-based Raptor.io framework powering site-facing REST, GraphQL, and Batch traffic
• Develop AI-powered solutions to solve platform engineering challenges for eBay developers
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Tekton for fast, reliable deployments
• Coordinate software releases across teams, managing dependencies aligned with eBay's product roadmap
• Build optimized Docker images, run vulnerability scans, and manage image repositories
• Set up and maintain development, staging, and production environments with performance monitoring
• Ensure platform security through patching, sensitive data handling, and audit logs
• Create documentation, best practices, and guides for eBay's developer community
• Collaborate with US-based counterparts and cross-functional QA/operations teams
• Enhance scalability for thousands of internal applications supporting eBay's global marketplace
• Monitor system performance to ensure stability for millions of buyers and sellers

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Maven and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Tekton
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with version control systems like Git and branching strategies
• Collaborative mindset with desire to work with cross-functional teams
• Experience supporting high-scale e-commerce platforms handling REST, GraphQL, and Batch traffic
• Familiarity with developer platforms like Raptor.io or similar Spring Boot frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing AI-powered tooling for platform engineering
• Background in release management across multiple teams in large-scale environments
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and security patching for Docker images
