About the Role

As a Sr. Product Manager–Accounting Platform at eBay in Bengaluru, you will drive innovative product solutions for the Financial Accounting and Reconciliation Platform within the Payments Platform team. Collaborating closely with finance, partner product, and engineering teams, you will spearhead money movement initiatives impacting journaling, reconciliation, and month-end close activities. This role is pivotal in supporting eBay's global e-commerce ecosystem, empowering millions of buyers and sellers across 190+ markets by building scalable platforms that balance operational flexibility with market-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product vision and roadmaps for Financial Accounting and Reconciliation Platform technology components
  • Set product prioritization balancing near-term deliverables and long-term platform investments
  • Co-lead Agile scrum teams as Product Owner with engineering counterparts to deliver roadmap achievements
  • Synthesize market changes and technology improvements into practical platform enhancements
  • Partner closely with finance, partner product, and engineering teams on money movement initiatives
  • Serve as key product point of contact for finance month-end close activities
  • Collaborate with in-country and regional business leaders to build core capabilities for global markets
  • Identify opportunities to improve utility of shared features across multiple partners
  • Influence and build relationships across eBay organization at all levels
  • Develop global product strategies enabling innovation and go-to-market efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years experience in product management or software development, preferably for eCommerce products with a large user base
  • Experience working with international markets and developing software for multiple geographies
  • Strong technical background to understand and contribute to engineering, data architecture, and infrastructure components
  • Solid financial and analytical abilities to translate complex business issues into clear goals and product requirements
  • Experience in payments, financial accounting, reconciliation, or money movement initiatives
  • Proven track record in delivering user-delighting experiences in global e-commerce platforms
  • Ability to influence across cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with eBay or similar global marketplace platforms
