Key Responsibilities

• Build solutions using strong background in distributed systems and large-scale database systems
• Research, analyze, design, develop, and test solutions aligned with business and technology strategies
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and project-related team meetings
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, native, machine learning, and quality engineers
• Work with Architecture, Product Management, QA, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions
• Ensure solutions meet business needs for functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Adhere to realistic implementation schedules and development principles
• Develop technical and domain expertise to solve eBay payments product challenges
• Transform payments experiences for eBay's global seller community
• Balance urgency with commitment to quality in AI-driven environments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 4+ years of professional experience
• Hands-on experience building large-scale distributed systems
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, Java/Scala
• Strong proficiency in relational/NoSQL databases
• Expertise in React and backend frameworks
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Consistent track record of developing scalable web and RESTful applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in native development (iOS/Android)
• Experience building with GraphQL
• Familiarity with AI technologies like workflow design or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience in e-commerce or payments systems
• Cross-functional collaboration with designers and product managers
