Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for eBay’s global ecommerce platform
• Build intuitive front-end applications to enhance buyer and seller experiences
• Drive architectural decisions ensuring system scalability, security, and fault tolerance at massive scale
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using OpenAPI Specification
• Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and security supporting millions of transactions
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Champion coding standards, secure development practices, and CI/CD automation
• Integrate databases (SQL/NoSQL) with eBay’s marketplace infrastructure
• Leverage cloud and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP) for traffic handling
• Innovate with industry trends to improve eBay’s traffic management and user interfaces
• Ensure fault-tolerant systems for eBay’s 190+ global markets

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields
• 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development
• Expertise in backend technologies like Node.js, Java, or similar frameworks
• Proficiency in frontend frameworks such as React.js with strong UI/UX sensibilities
• Deep knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure or Private cloud)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
