About the Role

As a Traffic Sr Full Stack Engineer at eBay in Bengaluru, India, you will architect and deliver scalable systems that power the world's leading ecommerce marketplace, serving millions of buyers and sellers across 190+ markets. This role focuses on designing backend services and front-end applications for traffic management, ensuring seamless performance, reliability, and security for high-volume global transactions. You will own the full stack—from RESTful APIs and microservices in Node.js/Java to intuitive React-based UIs—while optimizing for eBay's dynamic, real-time marketplace demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for eBay’s global ecommerce platform
• Build intuitive front-end applications powering traffic management systems
• Drive architectural decisions ensuring scalability, security, and fault tolerance at massive scale
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures using Node.js or Java
• Optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL) for high-traffic marketplace operations
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Champion coding standards, secure development, and CI/CD automation
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge-sharing
• Integrate cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Innovate with industry trends to enhance eBay’s traffic handling and user experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields
• 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience
• Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development
• Proven experience architecting scalable backend services
• Strong track record delivering high-performance front-end applications
• Experience designing systems for global e-commerce platforms at scale
• Deep knowledge of microservices and RESTful APIs

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with traffic management UI applications
