Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of traffic management solutions for eBay's global e-commerce platform
• Optimize network operations through advanced caching strategies and PoP optimization to handle high-volume marketplace traffic
• Develop high-performance applications using C/C++ and Go to ensure low-latency buyer-seller interactions
• Manage and scale Kubernetes-based systems supporting millions of transactions across 190+ markets
• Implement cyber security measures to protect eBay's network infrastructure from threats
• Establish observability and monitoring for traffic systems to maintain platform reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions into eBay's e-commerce ecosystem
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical direction for traffic team initiatives
• Contribute to open-source projects and patented innovations advancing eBay's technology leadership
• Drive performance enhancements for scalable, secure operations in a dynamic online marketplace

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• At least 8 years of experience in networking, traffic management, and cyber security
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Go programming languages
• Deep understanding of low-level Linux networking
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for scalable deployments
• Expertise in caching strategies and Points of Presence (PoP) optimization
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven leadership skills in technical teams
