The EHS Specialist (Environmental) role at PepsiCo's facility in Cikarang Pusat, West Java, Indonesia, is pivotal in upholding environmental compliance and sustainability. Reporting to EHS leadership, you will contribute to processes and projects under moderate supervision, aligning with PepsiCo's Global EHS Management System (GEHSMS). Key focus areas include monitoring wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operations, waste management, emission control, and broader community impact mitigation. Facilitate, motivate, and promote the deployment of PepsiCo's EHS Policy across the organization through expert guidance, training sessions, and hands-on assistance. Ensure all team members are equipped to meet environmental standards.
Monitor WWTP operations, waste management, and emission control programs. Conduct regular checks on wastewater quality and emissions to ensure full compliance with local and international regulations.
Implement strategic development plans to reduce the environmental footprint from water and energy usage. Lead sustainability and life cycle assessments to drive continuous improvements.
Serve as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards. Perform research, technical audits, and periodical environmental assessments on plant operations. Improve management of waste, water pollution, and air pollution.
Ensure timely submission of periodical environmental reports to required stakeholders. Gain familiarity with PROPERNAS processes, SIMPEL, SPEED (SIRAJA Limbah), and government environmental regulations.
To succeed in this role, candidates need a minimum of 4+ years of experience in environmental aspects and overall EHS systems. A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemical Engineering is required. Proven experience in the Chemical or Oil & Gas industry is advantageous.
Essential skills include strong teamwork, communication, decision-making, analysis, and problem-solving abilities. You should be familiar with wastewater treatment, emission control operations, and running sustainability programs. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and action planning skills are crucial, along with experience dealing with government environmental regulations, PROPERNAS, SIMPEL, and SPEED systems.
Preferable certifications include AK3U and POPAL/POPU/POPLB3. Fluency in verbal and written English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory.
