The Primary Electrical Substation Engineer will be responsible for leading engineering activities for AIS/GIS substations ranging from 66 kV to 765 kV. The role involves complete ownership of design quality, engineering coordination, compliance with international standards, and technical support across bidding, design, FAT, and commissioning stages.

• Experience: 8-10 years
• Qualifications: BE in Electrical Engineering
• Location: Kalwa, Navi Mumbai

Brief Job Responsibilities:

Design and engineering of AIS/GIS primary systems for 66–765 kV substations.
•Preparation of SLDs, primary equipment layouts, clearance diagrams, EKD, earthing layouts, trench layouts, and control room layouts.

•Development of complete AIS/GIS plant layouts including BOM, clearances, and lightning/lighting protection layouts.

•Execution of CT/VT sizing, SCF checks, conductor/tube sizing, battery/charger sizing, Cable sizing and earthing system design.

•Review and validation of vendor drawings for primary & secondary equipment including GIS, transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, VTs, surge arresters, clamps-connectors, NGR, Cables, protection panels, SAS panels, marshalling kiosks, and communication schemes.

•Preparation of PSLDs, Review of control and protection schemes for various busbar configurations.

•Development of SAS architecture based on IEC 61850, including IED configurations and SCADA/HMI integration.

•Creation of cable schedules, interconnection schedules.

•Coordination with civil and mechanical teams for foundations, trenches, earthing grids, and building interfaces.

•Technical support for FAT of primary & secondary equipment and onsite engineering activities.

•Participation in customer/site visits for layout feasibility studies, data collections, AIS vs GIS presentations and tender estimation.

•Technical support for pre‑bid and post‑bid engineering related to primary and secondary system philosophies.

Expertise in Software: AutoCAD, E-Tap, PS CAD, MS office, MS projects.

Electrical Engineering Graduate with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
