Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer at Williams, you'll tackle a wide spectrum of tasks requiring technical expertise, innovation, and judgment:

• Perform technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, and design for new/existing facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems.
• Support outages and maintenance for switchgear, VFDs, MCCs, and PDCs.
• Lead/participate in commissioning and start-up of facilities.
• Conduct code compliance evaluations (e.g., National Electric Code) and develop improvement projects.
• Utilize computer modeling, data analysis for solutions that boost reliability and cut costs.
• Maintain/update electrical drawings like P&IDs, one-lines, and schematics.
• Coordinate arc flash studies, grounding, and power system protection.
• Mentor/train on electrical fundamentals, planning, and scheduling.
• Deliver presentations, interpret customer needs, and work independently or as team leader.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications vary by level (I, II, III, Sr), but core requirements include:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) from an accredited university; or Electrical Engineering Technology degree with P.E. license.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years multifaceted engineering in natural gas/petrochemical for Sr level (less for lower levels); progressive experience preferred.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• Skills: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, safety protocols; proficiency in modeling software, AutoCAD, ETAP or similar.
• Other: Ability to travel, work in rugged outdoor settings, strong communication/presentation skills, and independent judgment.
