Position Summary

Sonoco is hiring an experienced Electro Mechanic for our 3rd Shift (10pm - 6:30am) in Orlando, FL. Earn $31.34 - $37.88/hr plus $0.65 shift differential. Maintain critical production equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure operational efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you have strong electrical and mechanical skills with PLC knowledge, this mid-level role offers stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance checks every three months on all plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal problems.
• Collaborate with contractors, order parts, and maintain detailed records using software.
• Support new equipment installations, recommend purchases, and coordinate plant moves.
• Maintain safety standards, OSHA compliance, and respond to on-call emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years in industrial maintenance with electrical/PLC expertise.
• Forklift certification and mechanical aptitude with tools.
• Knowledge of automated controls, OSHA regulations, and basic computer skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and work in industrial settings; excellent communication.
