Role Overview

The Electro-Mechanical Technician - Nights position at PepsiCo's Denver, Colorado facility is a critical role in our high-speed production operations. This full-time night shift opportunity pays $44.05 per hour, equating to approximately $91,624 annually, with potential for more based on experience and performance. Reporting to maintenance leadership, you'll repair and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced bottling environment. In this role, you'll ensure seamless production line operations through proactive and reactive maintenance. Primary accountabilities include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on sophisticated production equipment per manufacturer specs.
  • Diagnosing complex malfunctions and executing repairs or adjustments.
  • Conducting breakdown analysis to minimize downtime.
  • Overseeing general housekeeping and enforcing GMP, safety, and audit standards.
  • Upgrading production lines with new equipment and technology.
  • Directing outside contractors and managing package changeovers.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of work schedules and completed tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, candidates must meet basic qualifications and bring helpful experience. Basic requirements include:

  • Being 18 years or older.
  • Passing a technical assessment on job-critical maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience with basic electrical systems like starters, fuses, contacts, and relays.
  • Proficiency in electrical installation, frequency drives, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and apply product manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical breakdowns and diagnostics.

Helpful experience includes mechanical systems (gear boxes, bearings), compressors/ammonia refrigeration, conveyors, electronics (VFDs, sensors), hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, SERVO motors, PLCs, and high-speed packaging. Team-based environment experience is a plus. Candidates must provide their own hand tools and be prepared for physically demanding work.
