Operating in over 200 countries, PepsiCo employs more than 300,000 dedicated professionals committed to delivering innovative products that delight consumers while prioritizing sustainability and community impact. In the U.S., PepsiCo's North American operations, including Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA), power a dynamic supply chain that ensures fresh products reach shelves efficiently. As a global leader, PepsiCo invests heavily in cutting-edge manufacturing technology, fostering an environment where skilled technicians like Electro-Mechanical Technicians thrive. Joining PepsiCo means becoming part of a legacy of innovation, with opportunities to work on state-of-the-art production lines in facilities like our Phoenix, Arizona plant.
The Electro-Mechanical Technician - Nights position at PepsiCo's Phoenix facility is a pivotal role in maintaining the high-speed production of beverages and snacks. This night shift opportunity pays $33.55 per hour (equivalent to $69,784 annually) and demands hands-on expertise in repairing and upgrading advanced manufacturing equipment. You'll work independently under limited supervision, tackling complex repairs near heat, noise, and chemicals while ensuring seamless operations. Ideal for experienced mechanics passionate about troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, this role offers a chance to mentor juniors and drive production efficiency. With frequent physical demands like lifting, climbing, and bending, it's suited for resilient professionals ready for weekend/holiday shifts in a fast-paced bottling environment.
In this role, you'll be the backbone of our production lines, ensuring zero downtime through proactive and reactive maintenance. Primary accountabilities include performing preventative maintenance on sophisticated equipment per manufacturer specs, diagnosing malfunctions via breakdown analysis, and executing complicated repairs or adjustments. You'll upgrade lines with new technology, direct outside contractors, manage package changeovers, and enforce GMP, safety, and audit standards. Expect to oversee general housekeeping, document all tasks meticulously, and work self-managed in a team-based setting. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to deliver high-speed packaging for consumer products, from bottling to conveyor operations.
To succeed, candidates must be 18+ and pass a technical assessment covering job-critical maintenance areas. Basic qualifications include experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, relays), advanced electrical installation/troubleshooting (frequency drives), product manuals, electrical schematics, mechanical breakdown troubleshooting, and reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics). The role requires your own hand tools and physical stamina for continuous work in challenging conditions.
Prefer candidates with mechanical systems (gear boxes, bearings), compressors/ammonia, conveyors (sensors, diverters), electronics (probes, flow meters), gearing/machining, high-pressure hydraulics, kinematics (line speed ratios), high-speed packaging, PLCs, pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders), preventative maintenance software, pumps, SERVO motors, and team environments. PepsiCo values diverse backgrounds and considers qualified applicants with criminal histories per Fair Chance laws.
PepsiCo offers a premium compensation package beyond the $33.55 hourly rate. Enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus life and disability insurance. Our 401(k) with company match supports your financial future, while paid vacation, holidays, and shift differentials enhance work-life balance. Additional perks include employee discounts on PepsiCo products, tuition reimbursement for skill-building, and wellness programs promoting health. Night shift workers receive premium pay incentives, ensuring your hard work is rewarded.
PepsiCo is committed to your professional development. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you'll access ongoing training in emerging technologies like advanced PLC programming and robotics. Mentorship opportunities allow you to lead teams, paving the way for roles like Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Manager. Our internal mobility program has propelled thousands into leadership, with clear paths in supply chain and operations. Invest in certifications for ammonia systems or hydraulics, and PepsiCo will support your ascent in a company that values technical expertise.

In Phoenix, you'll contribute to a state-of-the-art facility serving the Southwest, with equal opportunity employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, veteran status, or disability.
