As an Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance, you will join a cross-functional team in IND07, India, contributing to the design, development, enhancement, and sustenance of Cardinal Health's software systems. This role involves configuration and coding using Java Spring Boot, Angular, and modern web technologies to meet internal operational needs and external business demands. You will partner with business leaders, investigate user requirements, and perform regular assessments, maintenance, and enhancements of applications.
This position is ideal for mid-level professionals with 6-9 years of experience in Java, web, and microservices development. Working on projects of moderate scope and complexity, you will apply technical expertise within defined parameters, receiving general guidance while demonstrating sound reasoning and accuracy in your deliverables.
Apply working knowledge of application concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks. Work on projects involving software configuration, coding, and enhancement in a team environment adhering to design control processes and engineering best practices.
Identify possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and take proactive action to resolve them. Use judgment within defined parameters to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Program and configure end-user applications, systems, databases, and websites. Conduct regular assessments, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications while partnering with business leaders to investigate user needs.
Receive general guidance and detailed instruction on new projects. Your work will be reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy, fostering continuous improvement.
Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Developer with 6-9 years in Java, web, and microservices development. Ability to develop software using Java Spring Boot, SQL & NoSQL databases. Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies like JPA2 and Hibernate. Experience building web applications with Angular Framework, JavaScript, and CSS. Proficiency in test-driven development, software engineering tools, and documenting requirements and specifications. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and cloud technologies is a significant advantage, positioning you for advanced projects in Cardinal Health's IT ecosystem.
