Role Overview

As an Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Kinaxis RapidResponse platform within Cardinal Health's Global Planning IT organization. This position involves hands-on development, maintenance, and enhancement of supply chain planning applications. Reporting to the Planning IT team, you will collaborate with the Kinaxis Center of Excellence (COE), business users, and IT partners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact will include:

  • Fully understanding functional and technical capabilities of Kinaxis and related integration utilities, aligning them with user needs and business processes.
  • Building strong relationships with Planning IT and Kinaxis COE team members to foster collaboration.
  • Managing issues by documenting, escalating, and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Developing and implementing Kinaxis and integration resources for project and operational enhancements.
  • Delivering training on enhancements to COE and IT teams.
  • Documenting test results, supporting change management, and coordinating testing with business users.
  • Investigating user issues and partnering with end-users and IT for resolutions.
  • Gathering harmonized requirements from end-users and anticipating future needs to proactively close gaps.
  • Ensuring weekly completion of demand and supply plans to downstream nodes.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • 4-8 years of experience in application development and maintenance, preferably in supply chain IT.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong Kinaxis RapidResponse experience (strongly preferred); familiarity with other supply chain tools like SAP APO, ECC, or S/4HANA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of demand/supply planning, forecasting, inventory management, and supporting processes.
  • Data analysis, scripting, and relational database skills (SQL, Oracle, Access) as advantageous.
  • Proven ability to grasp complex issues amid incomplete information and drive stakeholder consensus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with autonomy in international contexts.
