Position Summary

Williams Companies is seeking a skilled Engineer II/III - Facility Engineer to join our team in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. This mid-level role offers the chance to work independently on impactful projects in the natural gas industry, ensuring safe, reliable facility operations. As a Facility Engineer, you'll interact daily with operations and maintenance teams, optimize processes, lead capital projects, and champion safety standards.   • Engineer III: 4+ years experience; leads specialized teams, handles complex assignments, and drives innovation.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll dive into hands-on engineering supporting natural gas facility operations. Expect daily collaboration with field personnel to maintain high reliability, product specs, and safety protocols. Key duties include:

  • Executing life-critical processes like Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), work planning, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Partnering with facility teams to uphold Overpressure Protection systems and Process Safety Management (PSM) documentation.
  • Leading and implementing small-scale capital projects while collaborating on larger expansions.
  • Optimizing facility processes, control systems, and alarm management through operator engagement.
  • Working independently on technical assignments requiring evaluation, innovation, and judgment.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to stakeholders and leading small teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborating with Tech Services peers company-wide on standards, processes, and initiatives.
  • Championing safety, compliance, and continuous improvement while pursuing personal development via training and stretch assignments.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering field from an accredited institution, OR Bachelor’s in Engineering Technology with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Engineer II Preferred: Minimum 2 years of multifaceted engineering experience in natural gas or petrochemical industries.
  • Engineer III Preferred: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

Skills & Other Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of industry standards, safety requirements, and operational processes.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; safety as top priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications.
  • Preferred: Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certification; Project Management experience.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work across engineering disciplines, interpret customer needs, and deliver results under governing agency guidelines.
