As an Engineer III - Backend in the Falcon Exposure Management team based in Pune, India, you'll drive cloud and backend development focused on continuous security configuration assessment and vulnerability management across cloud and hybrid environments. This role involves real-time analysis of security misconfigurations, compliance frameworks, vulnerability data sources, and adversary exploitation risks. You'll build solutions to gather, normalize, and analyze assessment data, assess risk criticality, and automate remediation workflows. Expect to troubleshoot production issues and enhance the platform for optimal security posture. With extensive use of Golang or Java, AWS/GCP services, and advanced databases, this position is perfect for seasoned engineers passionate about cybersecurity innovation at CrowdStrike.
Lead engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale application services for configuration assessment and vulnerability management content. Ensure security, accuracy, and efficacy of data while building backend systems and process automation for compliance and vulnerability workflows.
Work closely with security researchers and vulnerability analysts to resolve time-sensitive production issues related to configuration drift and vulnerability detection. Conduct analysis on asset configurations, vulnerability data, and compliance benchmarks to deliver reviewed content for platform efficacy.
Interact and integrate with platform and product teams. Constantly re-engineer architecture, risk scoring models, user experience, performance, and stability to support our growing scale of 3 trillion daily events.
To succeed in this role, you need solid 8+ years of work experience in Golang or Java development, strong database skills with relational databases and distributed systems like Cassandra, Redis, and Elasticsearch. Exposure to AWS/GCP cloud services and cloud security assessment tools is essential, along with experience delivering high-quality, tested code. A deep understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, vulnerability management, and security configuration assessment is required, including knowledge of frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, NIST CSF, and SOC 2. Excellent communication skills, team collaboration in global distributed teams, and the ability to meet commitments with unit-tested, code-reviewed software are non-negotiable.
