The Engineer III, Cloud SDET - Channel File Systems (Hybrid) role is pivotal to CrowdStrike's zero-prem-burden, scan-less automated threat detection, alerting, and response suite. Channel File Systems enable dynamic configurations on threat-detection sensors in customer environments, coordinating secure, time-effective distribution to sensor groups. As a 'development-first' SDET, you'll build frameworks, libraries, and tooling for testing unique distributed services and APIs, while contributing to core production code. This hybrid position in Sunnyvale, California, requires 2-3 days weekly on-site, offering a challenging environment where quality defines our culture. Work with cutting-edge tools to verify features handling millions of events per second, terabytes of data, and precise customer delivery.
Expect to dive into verifying processing, data, and customer-facing layers. Leverage languages like Go, Python, Scala, Java, C++, and JavaScript, alongside networking protocols, REST/JSON/RPC web services, AWS EC2/S3, and data stores including PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis, and more. Strong debugging for race conditions and bottlenecks is essential in our high-stakes cybersecurity ecosystem.
