Role Overview

As an Engineer III - Data in Tel Aviv, Israel, you'll join the Data Security Product Group, enhancing data classification capabilities within the Falcon platform. This full-time role blends software engineering with data analysis to detect sensitive data, extract insights, and drive product integrity. Falcon comprises a lightweight sensor agent for on-device prevention and telemetry collection, paired with our cloud for threat correlation. You'll own classification engines, leveraging big data and ML to empower customers against data risks in cybersecurity.

Work on large-scale distributed systems, innovating detection for sensitive data types. Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate features into Falcon, ensuring scalability and effectiveness in stopping breaches.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll take full ownership of critical data security functions:

• Design and implement data classification engine logic, creating detection mechanisms for sensitive data types.
• Research and develop innovative approaches using big data analytics and machine learning algorithms.
• Build and deploy monitoring tools to validate system effectiveness, automating KPI evaluations.
• Conduct data validation to maintain product integrity and support R&D decisions.
• Analyze large datasets to inform visibility expansions and integrations.
• Develop and maintain software components in Python, Java, or similar.
• Participate in code reviews, uphold best practices, and collaborate with teams to embed classification into Falcon.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, bring these essential skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.
• 5+ years in software development, data analysis, or data science roles.
• Proficiency in SQL (mandatory) for large datasets; experience with cloud data warehouses and processing frameworks.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or equivalents; pattern matching techniques.
• Familiarity with Kibana or similar visualization tools, ML concepts for classification.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication for cross-level collaboration.

Preferred Experience

Background in cybersecurity, scripting in Python/R, and big data tools accelerates impact.
