Role Overview

Cardinal Health's Information Technology team is seeking a highly skilled Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer for the Information Security and Risk department. This nationwide remote role is pivotal in securing enterprise applications amid rapid growth through mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Key Responsibilities

As an IAM Engineer, you will lead critical initiatives to fortify Cardinal Health's security posture:

• Lead integration of enterprise applications—including SaaS, on-premise, and custom-built—with core IAM infrastructure for secure authentication, authorization, and user provisioning/de-provisioning.
• Develop and execute IAM integration strategies for M&A activities, assessing landscapes of acquired entities to align with business and security goals.
• Manage merging of identity providers, user directories like Active Directory, Azure AD, and LDAP into existing systems.
• Streamline user lifecycle management, automating onboarding, offboarding, and access reviews for employees, contractors, and partners.
• Design and maintain IAM solutions such as SSO, MFA, PAM, and RBAC frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and internal policies, maintaining auditable access records.
• Troubleshoot IAM issues and support internal teams and end-users.
• Collaborate with Information Security, IT Operations, HR, and Application Development teams.
• Maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and stay current with IAM best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IAM engineering, with expertise in modern protocols like OAuth, SAML, and SCIM.
• Hands-on knowledge of identity systems including Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, Okta, or SailPoint.
• Strong background in M&A integrations, user lifecycle automation, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
