Role Overview

The Engineer, IT Quality Control - Automation Testing role in our Bangalore GCC is pivotal to ensuring the highest standards in IT product development and deployment. This position involves analyzing IT products and processes for compliance, collaborating with project management, business integration, and development teams to mitigate risks during implementations. You will conduct audits, develop quality procedures, and drive automation excellence in a dynamic Agile environment, contributing to healthcare solutions that impact millions daily.

Key Responsibilities

As an IT Quality Control Engineer focused on automation testing, your core duties include:

  • Designing and developing robust test automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms (Android/iOS as a plus).
  • Writing automated test scripts based on defined test cases, including test data management for execution.
  • Performing test planning, estimation, strategy development, and risk assessments to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Analyzing test results, defect reporting, and tracking to maintain quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborating closely with Business Analysts to translate requirements into detailed test cases and regression scenarios.
  • Mentoring junior test engineers, fostering cross-team collaboration, and improving code quality through developer interactions.
  • Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a software-related discipline.
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience as a software automation tester.
  • Strong expertise across web applications, APIs, with mobile (Android/iOS) experience preferred.
  • Proven skills in designing test automation frameworks and developing in high-level languages.
  • Hands-on with multiple scripting languages for test script creation and execution.
  • Expertise in test planning, estimation, strategy, risk assessment, and defect management.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and full software development lifecycle.

  • Experience with Selenium, Appium for automated testing of APIs, web, and mobile apps.
  • CI/CD tools like Jenkins, BDD/TDD/ATDD practices, OOP concepts.
