Role Overview

Join CrowdStrike as an Engineering Manager for Charlotte AI, our revolutionary generative AI-powered virtual security analyst. This hybrid role, based in our New York City office, focuses on building and scaling teams of cloud engineers, SDETs, frontend developers, and AI/ML data scientists. You'll drive high-quality, scalable AI systems that operate 24/7 against sophisticated adversaries. Operating with a startup mindset within a cybersecurity giant, the Charlotte AI team functions as a complete product unit, collaborating with dedicated product managers, UX designers, and security strategists for rapid experimentation and release cycles. Engineers own features end-to-end, from design to deployment, impacting users immediately in a distributed, high-trust environment.

Charlotte AI transforms security operations: accelerating threat detection from hours to seconds, automating triage with 98% accuracy, bridging skills gaps via plain-language queries, and enabling confident, faster decisions. Launched in early 2024 from our Romanian engineering center, it's now a flagship Falcon platform product with 2025 industry acclaim for agentic features.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Building

Lead one or more teams developing Charlotte AI, emphasizing AI/ML engineering, backend systems, and UI/UX. Build organizational structure to scale rapidly.

Project Management

Manage workload, resourcing, and coordination in fast-paced, distributed settings with quick iteration cycles, keeping roadmaps on track.

People Development

Prioritize team wellbeing, providing guidance on resourcing, progress, and soft skills. Gather feedback, coach for growth, and foster open collaboration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with product managers for roadmap optimization and design teams for consistent UX across products.
