Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager - Endpoint Performance in Pune, India, you'll lead the performance test team within the Sensor Quality group for CrowdStrike Falcon. Falcon is a cutting-edge two-component security product: the sensor on endpoint systems detects malicious behavior, prevents threats on-device, and streams telemetry to the cloud. The cloud aggregates data, correlates threats across networks, and delivers prioritized insights to operations teams. In this role, you'll own projects enhancing sensor performance across platforms, strategizing tests, implementing solutions, and reporting outcomes to maintain top-tier endpoint security efficiency.

Key Impact Areas

Focus on non-functional testing like endpoint performance, replicating real-world customer deployments to validate sensor behavior under heavy workloads. Drive innovation in light-weight, high-performing systems that set the cybersecurity standard.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver technical and managerial leadership in the Sensor Quality team. Drive test strategies, build tool roadmaps, mentor engineers, and ensure quality outcomes. Own the performance test roadmap, designing and maintaining complex test environments that mirror customer topologies. Develop automation frameworks, workload generators, and telemetry pipelines. Champion efficiency gains in CPU, memory, I/O, disk, and network across platforms. Troubleshoot intricate issues, support sensor engineers with SLAs, and collaborate across distributed multi-functional teams worldwide.

Qualifications & Requirements

Success demands advanced Python expertise for automation and analysis across operating systems, plus solid C/C++ understanding. Master performance characteristics like CPU utilization, memory management, execution costs, and concurrency impacts. Bring hands-on experience managing enterprise-scale setups (Windows AD, SQL clusters, distributed systems) and designing reproducible testbeds. Proven track record in performance engineering—profiling, benchmarking, scalability, stress, and longevity testing. Lead teams building system-level frameworks, analyze massive telemetry for bottlenecks, and execute product quality strategies at scale, from manual to automated black/white-box testing.
