Join Datadog's elite Cyber Threat Intelligence team as an Engineering Manager I in Boston, Massachusetts. This leadership role sits at the critical intersection of global information security and security product innovation. You'll lead security researchers staying ahead of threat actors, their TTPs, and emerging vulnerabilities affecting Datadog and our customers. Your work directly informs detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, and powers Datadog Security Labs' thought leadership through published research and conference presentations.

Report to the Engineering Manager II of Detection & Intelligence Group while partnering across Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, Red Team, Product Management, and Security Products Engineering. Key Responsibilities at Datadog

As Engineering Manager I - Cyber Threat Intelligence, you'll drive strategic impact through hands-on leadership:

  • Team Leadership: Develop and lead security researchers executing threat hunting, intelligence production, thought leadership, and actor/malware tracking roadmaps.
  • Threat Tracking: Build unified research tracking threat actors targeting Datadog infrastructure and customers.
  • OKR Development: Collaborate with leadership to establish quarterly objectives addressing priority intelligence needs.
  • Intelligence Operations: Create RFI programs and optimize strategic/tactical/operational threat intelligence pipelines.
  • TTP Research: Experiment with latest attack/defense techniques in integrated Datadog production environments.
  • Tool Development: Engineer automation for intelligence collection, processing, and analysis.
  • Product Innovation: Partner with Engineering & Product teams on PoC services, tools, and simulations demonstrating new protections.
  • Thought Leadership: Evangelize mission, publish blogs, speak at conferences, and develop content with Community team.
  • External Partnerships: Build relationships advancing global cybersecurity initiatives.
