Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead and mentor experienced incident responders passionate about security resilience, providing growth opportunities and career development.
• Act as hands-on leader during incidents: decide under pressure, collaborate cross-functionally, and participate in secondary on-call rotation.
• Ensure high-quality triage of alerts in Datadog Cloud SIEM, partnering with Threat Detection to optimize signals.
• Develop tools, automation, and processes to advance incident response maturity, with clear metrics for stakeholders.
• Drive blameless postmortems, capturing actionable items to prevent systemic failures and repeated incidents.
• Collaborate with product management on feature feedback and champion security enhancements.
• Work with security teams on proactive strategies to mitigate future threats in cloud infrastructure.
• Shape organizational strategy, culture, team velocity via OKRs, and inclusive hiring practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2-3 years as people manager or technical leader with expertise in mentorship, performance management, OKRs, and diverse hiring.
• 3-5 years in security incident response programs, demonstrating ownership beyond team boundaries.
• Technical pragmatism for reviewing RFCs, balancing business and engineering trade-offs.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems to support customer-facing infrastructure and analyze postmortems.
• Superior stakeholder management with empathy and communication for remote, cross-team collaboration.
• Experience in observability, DevOps, and cloud security tools like Datadog SIEM.
