Role Overview

The Engineering Manager - Sensor Event Runtime (SER) role is a hybrid position based near our Redmond, WA office (Seattle area), with about two days per week in-office for collaboration. The SER team owns cross-platform C and C++ code at the heart of the Falcon Sensor, handling storage, correlation, filtering, rate-limiting, deduplication, bus instrumentation, and test tooling. These critical capabilities underpin all endpoint security features. Our small, senior team is expanding rapidly amid CrowdStrike's growth. You'll lead hiring, retention, and development while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, program management, support, and more. Excellent communication is key in our remote-first environment. No prior security experience required—we provide training. Hands-on technical leadership is essential: review PRs, grasp architecture, data flows, APIs, and dependencies to guide impact and troubleshooting. Some U.S. travel (2-3 times/year) for meetings.

  • Prioritize work, manage workload, resourcing, and coordination—know when to say 'no' or 'not yet'.
