Role Overview

The Engineering Manager, TechOps CICD SDA (Software Delivery Automation) role is pivotal in empowering CrowdStrike's engineering organization. Based in a hybrid model from offices in Sunnyvale, CA; Redmond, WA; Austin, TX; or NYC, NY, you'll lead a distributed team of DevOps engineers. Your focus will be on developing, implementing, and streamlining robust CICD workflows to accelerate high-quality software delivery to our customers. Key Responsibilities

As Engineering Manager, you'll wear multiple hats: leader, mentor, innovator, and problem-solver. Core duties include:

• Leading and developing a distributed team of DevOps engineers focused on mission-critical CICD automation.
• Aligning, guiding, and empowering engineers to automate processes, optimize CICD tools, and integrate build/test agent provisioning.
• Establishing key relationships with leaders across the organization to align on priorities.
• Investigating next-generation technologies to shape future roadmap goals.
• Analyzing requirements, prioritizing work, triaging support tickets, and resolving escalated issues.
• Driving continuous improvement in software delivery processes and providing technical mentorship.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you'll bring proven expertise in high-scale environments:

Required Experience

• 10+ years as a build engineer or software engineer.
• 3+ years of engineering management in large-scale settings, including leading distributed teams across time zones.
• Expertise with OS at scale (Windows, Linux, macOS), CICD tools (Jenkins with Groovy, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Working knowledge of infrastructure (VMware vCenter, Terraform, Packer), config management (Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet), Git (Bitbucket, GitLab), clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure), and scripting (Python, Go, PowerShell).
• Exceptional communication and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• End-to-end SDLC workflow design.
• Cybersecurity background or security-focused delivery.
• Proven CICD optimization for scaling organizations and process improvements.
• Experience documenting complex processes.
