The Engineering Supervisor (SodaStream) position at PepsiCo's Tilburg facility is a leadership role designed for experienced engineers passionate about driving productivity and innovation in a fast-paced food and beverage environment. Reporting directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, you will oversee a team of engineers, spearheading technical optimizations for production equipment and infrastructure. Lead efforts to optimize production processes, reducing costs and boosting efficiency in CO₂ refilling and packaging operations. Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot failures, and implement short- and long-term solutions. Develop tools, accessories, and new production methods while supporting infrastructure upgrades and utility implementations.
Manage engineering projects such as equipment installations and robotic line developments in partnership with global teams. Select external partners, secure government permits, source spare parts, and lead FAT & SAT processes with HQ. Calculate project costs, ROI, and organize training for new equipment.
Deliver professional leadership to the engineering team, handling disciplinary matters, HR issues like absences, vacations, performance reviews, and recruitment. Ensure comprehensive training, documentation, and development to build a high-performing team.
Maintain production area cleanliness, report KPIs regularly, and travel internationally as needed to support PepsiCo's global operations.
To excel in this role, candidates need an HBO-level degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in a food production setting is essential, with preference for those skilled in industrial hygiene. Proficiency in creating and interpreting CAD/SolidWorks drawings, reading mechanical/electrical schematics, and leading technical projects is required. Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is mandatory, with Dutch as an advantage. Experience with automation, robotics, and international collaboration is highly valued.
