In this pivotal sales role, you'll prospect into existing accounts, land new workloads on MongoDB Atlas, and manage the full sales cycle to achieve explosive revenue growth.

Our hybrid model requires candidates based in New York City, New York. You'll collaborate with CTOs, engineering leaders, and technical users to showcase how MongoDB's globally distributed, multi-cloud database on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure solves real-world challenges. Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

  • Prospect aggressively into CTOs, Engineering/IT leaders, and technical end users to uncover expansion opportunities within existing MongoDB customer bases.
  • Grow current accounts by landing new workloads through outbound prospecting using tools like Sales Navigator and Outreach.
  • Manage the full sales cycle for MongoDB Products & Services, from discovery to close on multi-year deals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan focused on revenue targets in the New York City market.
  • Collaborate with ecosystem partners including cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and GSIs like Accenture to co-sell solutions.
  • Build robust pipelines in Salesforce and Clari while leveraging ZoomInfo, Sendoso, and other prospecting tools.
  • Cultivate stakeholder relationships to drive adoption of MongoDB Atlas across business units.
  • Articulate business value of MongoDB's NoSQL platform for AI, modernization, and developer productivity.
  • Overachieve quotas in the largest software market: databases.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying field sales experience focused on closing new workloads and expanding accounts in enterprise tech.
  • Proven account expansion skills, selling horizontally across organizations into multiple business units.
  • Track record of overachievement consistently hitting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Expertise articulating value of complex enterprise technologies like NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.
  • Co-selling experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and GSIs (Accenture, KPMG) is a strong plus.
  • Must reside in New York City territory for hybrid model; fluent in English.
  • Sales methodology training (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger) and familiarity with databases/Open Source preferred.
