Position Summary
The Enterprise Project Management - Emerging Leader role is part of Sonoco's EPMO & LM Emerging Leader Program (ELP), a rotational program for recent graduates. Gain hands-on experience in project and lean management across key business areas like Integrated Business Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Commercial Excellence, Supply Management, IT, and Shared Services. This 18-month program includes rotations in shared services, lean process improvements, and manufacturing projects, plus leadership training and self-paced skill development to launch your career.
Key Responsibilities
As an Emerging Leader, you'll rotate through three phases: First 6 months managing strategic projects with Shared Services for global process optimization; next 6 months partnering with Lean Management for operational excellence and continuous improvement; final 6 months overseeing manufacturing projects with Global Businesses. Responsibilities include leading teams, communicating with stakeholders, organizing projects, managing time and budgets, mitigating risks, solving problems, and applying technical tools for efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Recent graduates with degrees in Engineering, Project Management, Lean Management, or related technical fields. Essential skills: leadership to inspire teams, clear communication, strong organization and time management, risk and budget oversight, creative problem-solving, adaptability, and technical proficiency in project/lean methodologies.
