  • Guiding organizational change processes and participating in Management of Change mechanisms.
  • Identifying hazards, performing risk analyses, and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, providing preventive advice to minimize future occurrences.
  • Advising on workplace organization, workstations, and equipment safety.
  • Managing approvals for new storage and transshipment requests.
  • Monitoring compliance with Belgian prevention legislation and translating it into actionable advice.
  • Updating procedures, monitoring implementation, and proposing enhancements.
  • Contributing to third-party safety studies and audits.
  • Leading employee onboarding, training, and safety awareness programs.
  • Preparing for and actively engaging in CPBW committee meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you must demonstrate proven leadership and EHS expertise:

  • Solid direct and indirect leadership experience, preferably in a matrix organization.
  • At least 2 years in a safety department and 3 years executing EHS activities, covering hands-on and administrative tasks.
  • Safety Science Level 1 certificate or commitment to obtain it swiftly.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch for seamless communication.
  • Strong grasp of Belgian welfare legislation, standards, and legal requirements.
