Key Responsibilities

As an Environmental Specialist, your day-to-day duties will encompass a wide range of environmental management tasks essential to plant operations:

• Maintain the site's environmental safety system and perform ongoing production ecological control.
• Secure timely ecological permits for emissions, discharges, waste management, and develop projects like PNOOLR, NDS, NDV, and SZZ in compliance with legal requirements.
• Act as the holder of internal environmental safety standards, participate in audits, and support self-assessments.
• Monitor compliance with corporate ecological standards and Russian environmental legislation.
• Oversee waste accounting, control handling of production and consumption wastes, and organize separate waste collection systems.
• Manage processes for municipal solid waste (TCO), 1st and 2nd hazard class wastes, raw materials, and finished products.
• Develop ecological safety instructions and documentation, participate in budgeting and procurement for eco-related activities.
• Train employees on environmental safety requirements and ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date information in the Rosprirodnazor registry and implement best practices.
• Investigate environmental incidents and liaise with federal and municipal authorities within authorized scopes.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet stringent criteria reflecting the technical and regulatory demands of environmental management in production:

• Higher professional education in ecology, natural resource use, or related field; additional professional retraining in environmental protection required if not specialized.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental safety at a production enterprise.
• Certified training and knowledge verification in ecological safety, supported by certificates or protocols.
• Strong knowledge of Russian legislation on waste management, air and water protection, and relevant norms.
• Familiarity with international and Russian environmental standards, experience in implementing and maintaining environmental management systems, and production control.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with plant managers, supervisors, and state authorities.
• Understanding of management basics, economics, budgeting, goal-oriented management, and project management.
• Intermediate English (recommended); confident PC user proficient in Rosprirodnazor LK, FGIS OPVK, and Rosnedra LK systems.
