The Environmental Specialist IV role at Williams in New Albany, Ohio, is a senior-level position ideal for seasoned professionals with deep expertise in air, water, and/or waste management. Reporting to environmental leadership, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, regulatory agencies, and external partners. With a hybrid work model offering one day per week from home, this full-time role balances office-based strategy with field support, perfect for mid-to-senior career professionals seeking growth in the energy sector.
Develop, maintain, and provide expert guidance on environmental processes and policies. Interpret federal, state, and local regulations to ensure Williams remains compliant and ahead of evolving standards.
Assess environmental risks, recommend actionable solutions, and lead implementation, including preparation of regulatory documentation and environmental impact assessments.
Participate in or lead environmental project planning, including scheduling, cost estimating, and submission of sophisticated permit applications, renewals, variances, and approvals. Coordinate seamlessly with company partners and agencies.
Conduct environmental compliance audits, due diligence investigations, and prepare/submit required reports and certifications. Identify training needs and deliver programs to enhance team capabilities.
Recommend and implement enhancements to air, water, waste management, and remediation systems. Cultivate strong relationships with regulatory agencies and mentor junior staff to build organizational resilience.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of eight (8) years of progressive environmental experience. Expertise in air quality, water management, waste handling, or remediation is essential.
Candidates should thrive in dynamic environments, balancing technical depth with strategic oversight. Certifications like Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) or similar are advantageous.
