Description

Performing a wide range of general laboratory support operations in the Biochemistry group; coordinating the receipt and inventory log entry of reagents and supplies; maintaining inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies; performing daily equipment status monitoring; assisting in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment

  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Coordinate the receipt and entry of reagents and supplies into the department inventory log
  • Maintain inventory logs for necessary reagents and supplies and communicate those logs to the appropriate individuals
  • Assist appropriate personnel in the location of and eventual removal of reagents and supplies from the active laboratory population when expired or exhausted
  • Assist in the routine maintenance of general laboratory equipment including biological safety cabinets, incubators, refrigerators, waterbaths, centrifuges, and platewashers
  • Assist in the proper disposal of laboratory generated waste
  • Ability to access and use computer programming including PC software
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Reasoning skills, including logical thinking and deductive reasoning  
  • Accuracy in transcribing information
  • Knowledge of quality control and safety procedures preferred
  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Info

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4 pm., with additional hours, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
