Description

  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise a team of five; coach, train and develop team members, foster morale, and support operational improvements.

  • Workflow & Performance:
    Coordinate daily tasks to meet turnaround times (TAT), conduct performance reviews, manage training records, and support hiring and succession planning.

  • Client & Project Support:
    Interface with clients and project teams to deliver asset and data management services.

  • Instrumentation Management:
    Perform and document instrument qualifications (e.g., HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis), urgent repairs, basic troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance. Occasionally performs test-runs of instruments. Maintains instrument files and archives. Supports instrument moves between labs. 

  • Vendor Coordination:
    Escort vendors for on-site maintenance and ensure proper documentation.

  • System & Compliance:
    Input data into GMARS, support change controls and investigations, and report on service metrics.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
    Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology) with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.

  • Technical Skills:
    Must have experience in an industry lab setting and familiarity with analytical lab instrumentation
    Experience with HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis; familiarity with GMARS asset management system preferred.
    Experience with lab audits, GMP, and familiarity with the change control process is strongly preferred 

  • LeadershIp:
    Must have personnel leadership experience and ability to train other team members. 
    Project Management experience is strongly preferred. 

  • Soft Skills:
    Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or in a team. This position is highly client-facing; client-facing experience is also strongly preferred. 

  • Work Style:
    Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of multitasking while maintaining accurate records and following procedures.

  • Position is full-time, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm Overtime as needed.
