Based in Bucharest, Romania, our two laboratories specialise in vitamin and microbiology testing. Established over a decade ago, these sites continue to expand and evolve as part of the Eurofins network.

As part of the team, you will work closely with the Laboratory Manager and contribute to the laboratories’ ongoing development by driving operational excellence projects across sales, production, supply chain, and logistics business processes. Drawing on innovative practices from within the Eurofins network, you will play a key role in optimising workflows, enhancing efficiency, and supporting change management initiatives.

Your responsibilities will be:

Optimising team workflows

Map and streamline key operational processes (reception, preparation, analysis, and validation).

Identify bottlenecks and sources of time loss, highlighting key areas for improvement.

Propose and design practical solutions such as process reorganisation, visual management tools, and light automation.

Streamlining supply management

Analyse the usage of consumable laboratory goods across production lines to detect inefficiencies.

Implement a visual and ergonomic storage system to improve accessibility and reduce handling time.

Recommend strategies to minimise waste, prevent duplicates, and optimise stock levels.

Tracking performance and productivity

Create dashboards to track productivity gains and operational performance.

Facilitate regular team meetings to review progress and align on improvement actions.

Driving change and team engagement

Participate in collaborative workshops with laboratory teams to foster engagement and co-design solutions.

Communicate results effectively and promote local initiatives to encourage adoption and ownership.

Qualifications

Education: Currently enrolled, soon-to-graduate or recently graduated with a master’s degree in engineering.

Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other languages are a plus. 

Personal skills: You have strong communication skills, with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. You are flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Technical knowledge IT: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Please note that V.I.E contracts are only applicable to European Economic Area (EEA) citizens who are between 18 and 28 years old. The position is based in Bucharest, Romania.

Starting date: January, February or March 2026.

Duration of the contract: 12 months.
